I have started doing a limited amount of forging recently and found that I very much enjoy manipulating the steel with a hammer vs. grinding all of it away.  Both stock removal and forging have their place and I'm not about to get into a debate over which might be better.  I like them both and will continue to build knives with both methods.

Here is my first completed knife using my forge.  It is a bullnose skinner made of 1070 with a handle of hickory with a hemp cord wrap.  I have not completed a sheath for it yet.

"Explorer" is made from 5160 steel with elk antler handle and deerskin rawhide wrap.

"Plains Explorer" is made from a reclaimed horseshoe rasp.  The handle is elk antler with a rawhide wrap and hand carved and dyed geometric pattern.  The sheath is decorated with porcupine quillwork medicine wheel.
